    Project Details

    • 4,200 plants

For this home renovation project we installed 56m2 of living wall containing 4,200 plants surrounding the kitchen terrace of this house in Wimbledon, London. The wall is planted in a random matrix containing Ivy and ferns.

A residential vertical garden planted wall makes the most of limited space on the terrace by introducing lots of plants without using a large amount of floor space.

The Living Wall is applied the the curved surface of the building. The pre-planted living wall panels are faceted to fit the curve of the support structure. The plants grow to cover the panel backing material and the final appearance is one of a curved living wall.

Biotecture have also installed the living wall at the No. 1 Court at the All England Lawn Tennis Club also in Wimbledon. You can visit our case study page to learn more about that project.
