    Project Details

    • The Living Wall is the top level of a science centre display
    • Bespoke museum display design

Biotecture were commissioned to create a bespoke living wall museum display for the Glasgow Science Centre.

This display forms part of the powering the future display inside the museum, which looks at the future supply and use of energy, asking the question,  is our energy affordable, secure and environmentally sustainable? The purpose of the exhibition is to inform and engage the public in debate about the future of energy supply, as well as attract young people to the industry.

With approximately 20 m2 of living wall and 1600 plants the upper level of this display space introduces a pop of colour and texture into the exhibition.

The museum were looking for a non-standard exhibition structure that could also be fitted with interactive features like touchscreen displays.
