    Project Details

    • Stratford Apon Avon Living Wall in the centre of town
    • A development of 82 apartments
    • Priority accommodation for local key workers
    • Living Walls on two facades
    • Shortlisted for an award by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) as an example of ‘outstanding residential development.’

This apartment complex, that was opened in 2017, was developed by Orbit in partnership with Deeley Construction, ABD development, Robothams Architects and Stratford Town Trust. The building offers priority accommodation to key workers in the city such as health and emergency services workers from the near by hospital and teachers from the local schools.

The development has been finished to an exacting standard with the latest in cutting edge technology including several areas of Biotecture living wall.

The planting design for this project was designed to seamlessly wrap the West and South elevations of the building in curved lines, softening the corners and hard edges. Foliage in shades of green with cream and gold accents and mauve and pink flowering spot plants. The central location of the site meant that it was important to introduce wildlife friendly plants that would provide shelter and a food source for a host of insects and bees.
